Job definition - Set a value for the job

Set a value for the job option updates an item in the job.  This can be applied to all jobs or those with selected statuses or those satisfying the Conditions set up in the second tab

Apply action to jobs of status
  • Outstanding - a job that has exceeded its completion date
  • Unallocated - a job that has not yet been allocated to a user (eg. engineer, auditor, surveyor)
  • Work complete - a job that has been marked as complete, either manually or automatically (see Template actions)
  • Cancelled/closed - a job that is no longer current
Status to update to rarely used here
*Unique name of item to update the unique name used within the job definition that will be updated here
*Value to set

This might be a fixed  value or a calculated value or copied from another item in the job.

This is likely to look like %LOGGED_DATE_TIME_Add_4H% and is likely to be in Value to set field.  Options are:

  • Y - years
  • M - months
  • D - days
  • W - weeks
  • DXW - days excluding weekends
  • DXH - days excluding holidays
  • DXWH - days excluding weekends and holidays
  • H - hours
  • S - seconds
  • MIN - minutes
Update mode select appropriate mode to append, overwrite or on creation only
